Description

Our training course is not academic, but a practical experience and immersive for Spanish teachers (in training or active), in which they will participate in actual lessons, workshops, and collaborative activities for two weeks. You will learn innovative methodologies (gamification, AI, digital tools) and work with students of different levels and ages, alongside native teachers.
It takes place in Benalmádena (Costa del Sol), with the possibility of Erasmus+ funding as well as cultural and social activities.

COURSE CONTENT AND STRUCTURE

Job Shadowing: Active observation of real classes with international students to learn about different levels, profiles, and teaching styles.

Mentored classes: Preparation and delivery of a real class under the guidance of a teacher-tutor, with personalized feedback.

Presentations: Presentation of an innovative teaching proposal based on a classroom methodology or project.

Final practical workshop: Application of elements designed in the exhibitions in a practical class.

Thematic sessions: Workshops on key aspects of teaching Spanish.

Level assessment: Guided practices for assessing students' competencies and assigning them to the most suitable group according to their level.

The course includes a certificate of participation, two cultural activities, social events for networking among teachers, and Spanish improvement classes for non-native teachers. If they wish, participants can also join other cultural, social, and academic activities organized by the school during their stay.

Are the accommodations near the school?

Yes, we select accommodation that has good transport links to our school in Benalmádena.

What services are included in the accommodation?

Depending on the option chosen in Benalmádena, you'll have services such as Wi-Fi and access to communal areas included. For families, you can opt for half board or full board to focus exclusively on your intensive morning course.

Do I need a car to get around Benalmádena during the term?

It's not necessary. The school and accommodation are very well connected. Benalmádena is a city with an excellent bus and train network.

What transport do you recommend from the airport?

The commuter train is the quickest and most direct option to Benalmádena.

How far is the school from the beach?

Maravillas Language School is located in the centre (Arroyo de la Miel), about a 15-minute walk from the beach.

If I choose the aparthotel, is it close to the school?

Yes, all our accommodation options (the Aparthotel and host families) are within walking distance or a very short public transport journey.
