Accommodation and ages - Host families

MARAVILLAS PROGRAMAS INTERNACIONALES S.L. It periodically inspects all host families' houses and keeps a file with the number of rooms, measurements and available furniture as well as additional amenities available in each house. It also has all information concerning family structure, children, other family members with/without pets, distance from school as well as eating and smoking habits.
MARAVILLAS PROGRAMAS INTERNACIONALES S.L. guarantees a smoke-free environment. Families and students must smoke outside (on the terrace, balcony or in the garden).
All families are located at an average walking distance of 20-40 minutes from the school.

Depending on the needs of the students, families will be allocated on the basis of the following criteria:

Adults, over 18 years of age

  • Students on adult courses (+18) never share a host family with students under 18 years of age.
  • Adults (18+) are accommodated individually (one student per family) or they can share the house (or room if they wish) with another student over 18 years old.

  • In the case of shared double rooms, students of different sexes are not accommodated except for siblings.
  • During the international summer courses the school always accommodates students of different nationalities in the same house in order to avoid the use of their mother tongue and to favour the practice of Spanish, unless expressly requested otherwise.
  • During their stay, students may request one (1) change of accommodation free of charge if the house they have been assigned does not meet their expectations or if any problems occur. Each successive change of accommodation will be charged with a €25 transportation fee.

Once in Spain / Registration
If you need to cut your trip short for COVID-19 related reasons, you can take classes online, accept a voucher for future study in the next 12 months, or cancel the remaining programme and get a refund for the balance of your tuition (for full weeks, not partial weeks).
Once in Spain / Accommodation in host families or shared flats
If you need to shorten the trip for COVID-19 related reasons, the school will issue a voucher for future use (for full weeks, not partial weeks). If the student booked a flat / hotel that is not owned by the school, other conditions may apply.
In all cases a medical certificate in Spanish (or English) stating the illness will be requested.

The student can return at any time before this date to complete their course. It will be necessary to inform us in advance to check availability for the new period of study. It will be the student's responsibility to comply with immigration requirements for the new stay in the state.
