This course is designed for young people aged 13 to 17 and takes place during the school holidays - June, July and August - with flexible starting dates. It combines formal classroom teaching with a varied programme of leisure activities supervised by monitors, as well as visits and excursions to introduce students to Spanish culture.

Every Monday morning the students receive a detailed day-by-day weekly programme with the schedule of activities, meeting points, emergency numbers, etc.

Sailing class in Maravillas
Marina Port
The Benalmádena Marina is one of the most amazing harbours and residential complexes in the world. With the best facilities and a very attractive and unique architecture, it has been awarded the European Blue Flag for the quality of its services and water since 1987. It has 1,100 berths and thanks to its facilities, as well as the privileged climate of the Costa del Sol, El Puerto Marina offers a wide calendar of activities and events that make its atmosphere one of the best to enjoy the sea. Our climate, 320 days a year of sunshine with an average temperature of 22 degrees, allows the practice of all kinds of tourist and recreational activities.
Navigation classes
Students enrolled in this course have 3 hours of sailing lessons in the afternoons, twice a week. Sailing lessons are taught by professional instructors in a safe environment in the harbour.
The school provides all the necessary equipment, including life jackets to be worn at all times when in the water. In case of bad weather or too much wind, alternative sports activities will be planned or classes will be postponed and resumed on another day.
No sailing experience is required. This course is not recommended for experienced sailors.
Available in July, Tuesdays and Fridays from 16hs. to 19hs.

Yes, upon completion of their stay, each student receives a Certificate of Attendance from Maravillas School (a centre accredited by the Cervantes Institute) which details the number of hours studied and the level achieved.
Yes, the school promotes an international environment. By having a maximum of 16 students per classroom.
It is essential that the young person travels with their valid original ID card or Passport. Additionally, if they are a minor and travelling from outside of Spain, it is recommended that they carry a parental authorisation for minors (and the European Health Insurance Card.)
As it is a full board programme, students only need money for extras (ice creams, souvenirs). We recommend approximately €50-80 per week.
On full-day excursion days (like Saturdays), the host family prepares a «picnic« for them.
Yes, as it is food prepared by hand at school, young people receive a balanced diet that includes pulses, meats, fish, and seasonal fruit and vegetables.
Parents must inform the school before arrival. The student must bring their medication with clear instructions.
Yes, Benalmádena has state-of-the-art health centres and hospitals just a few minutes away. In case of need, a supervisor will accompany the student and we will contact the parents immediately.
Absolutely. Benalmádena is a very safe and family-friendly tourist town. Colegio Maravillas is located in a quiet residential area where young people can walk to and from school in complete safety.

The Summer course runs in June, July and August. The Spring course is only available during the school holidays in March or April.
The Summer one is longer, lasting from 1 to 8 weeks. The Spring one is shorter, allowing a stay of 1 to 4 weeks.
In Summer there are 4 afternoons of sports and daily dance classes. In Spring there are 3 afternoons of sports or social activities organised.
The Summer Course exclusively includes the option of sailing lessons at Puerto Marina and more swimming activities, thanks to the warm climate.
It is a 6-hour per week course (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Puerto Marina with professional instructors. It is available only in July and requires no previous experience.
The Summer course offers 4 afternoons of sports (volleyball, swimming, basketball, etc.), whilst the Spring course offers 3 afternoons combining sport and social visits.
No, the prices are the same for all Spanish levels. However, the budget varies according to the number of weeks of stay; the more weeks booked, the lower the price per week.
Yes, the programme includes a weekly laundry service done by the family. The students only need to worry about handing in their dirty clothes on the day the family indicates.
